Time and fuzzy cheeks
I remember one special moment on Christmas Day, 2005. I was sitting in front of the Christmas tree holding Ben. He was only 5 days old. I rocked him back and forth and held him in my arms, all swaddled up cozy warm. His cheeks were so soft and he smelled so sweet, like the fresh baby magic soap. I remember saying a little prayer, knowing he would be my last baby, praying I would have the wisdom to know how to raise him to be a strong, self-sufficient, man.
In that moment, he smiled in his sleep, opened his mouth in relaxation, and to me, he just looked like...Peace.
I am so thankful for this picture. It reminds me of that moment.
It's the moment you realize another prayer is heard.
