They don't fade

I have heard my share of, "Oh, don't worry, they will fade" comments about my scars.

I have been waiting for them to fade.  They don't. ..they will always be there.
I have been waiting for them to fade, because if they didn't,  then I would get a tattoo.  I might as well have something that is beautiful and meaningful on this scarred up part of me.

I am a chicken.
I should just do it, for no other reason than I can.
